NEWSLINE PAPER,- The Chinese government has taken a voice over Israeli attacks in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip. China calls on Israel to stop the attacks.
"Stop attacking Rafah," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said during a press conference in Beijing, China, on Tuesday (7/5/2024).
The appeal was made because the Chinese government expressed concern about Israeli actions conducting ground military operations in Rafah.
"We call on Israel to listen to the strong appeal of the international community," he said.
The Chinese government urged Israel to take steps to stop the worse humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.
Moreover, Lin Jian said, it has been more than 200 days since the outbreak of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has caused a terrible humanitarian catastrophe to be broadcasted all over the world.
The Chinese government judges that war and violence are not a way to solve problems.
"These things will never provide real security and will only deepen hatred, the international community must take action," he said.
He added that the Chinese government is urging Israel to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2728 and immediately implement a ceasefire.Separately, the Israeli military explained, its sides joined in the steel brigade have taken over operational control of the Rafah border.
In the attack, Israel claimed to have killed 20 armed Palestinians.
"It also ensures humanitarian aid, and returns to the path of seeking a political solution to the Palestinian problem based on a two-state solution as soon as possible," he said.
