NEWSLINE PAPER,- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged countries to end their involvement in the crime of months-long deadly attacks in the Gaza Strip by stopping to supply weapons to Israel.
"The countries that provide ammunition and weapons support to the Israeli massacre must now refrain from engaging in these crimes," Turkish President Erdogan said at a press conference in Ankara, Anadolu on Friday.
In addition to urging the international community, which he believes has not done enough to end the "massacre" in Gaza, President Erdogan urged all responsible parties to take careful action to help an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Israel has continued its brutal attacks on Gaza since the Hamas attack on 7 October 2023, despite a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Local health authorities report that some 36,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, mostly women and children, and more than 83,000 others have been wounded.
Eight months after the Israeli war, much of Gaza was destroyed by food, clean water, and disruptive drugs.
Israel was accused of genocide in the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately stop its operations in the southern town of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians sought refuge from the war before being invaded on 6 May.
